If you're looking for a peaceful, safe and friendly community within minutes of downtown Seattle, Madison Park is the perfect place. A neighborhood where everyone knows each other, it features unique boutiques and restaurants, and impressive period homes on tree-lined streets.

I've lived in the Seattle area for a decade, and I've lost count of the number of times I've driven across the 520 bridge. Little did I realize I was routinely passing Madison Park, a small but distinct community tucked away from downtown Seattle, nestled against the shores of Lake Washington.

Safe & Quiet Community

Warm and welcoming, you're sure to run into friendly neighbors and friends everywhere you go in Madison Park. The sense of community here is immense. Residents, including Eric and Erin Anderson, can comfortably take an evening stroll to enjoy the local restaurants and shops; Martha E. Harris is the perfect spot to find gifts and decor. Everyone joins in the fun during local celebrations, such as the Madison Park Holiday Bash, the infamous Shore Run, and the city's favorite summer festival, Madison Park Days.

Downtown Is Just Minutes Away

Big-city life is literally minutes down East Madison Street. Relax in this laid back community with a small-town feel, and enjoy nights on the town in Seattle or Bellevue, whenever you'd like.

There's A Lot to Do

Spend sunny days at Madison Park Beach on Lake Washington, or take a delicious southwestern bite at Cactus, the coveted neighborhood restaurant and the city's original location. Kids can enjoy the zip line at Madison Park Playground, and you can unwind with a game of tennis at the Seattle Tennis Club. Many folks move to the neighborhood just to enjoy the tennis club's many features, including indoor and outdoor courts, a pool and swimming beach, boat dock, a full gym and dining options. If you'd rather swing a club instead of a racket, stop by the Broadmoor Golf Club.

Diverse and Beautiful Housing

Whether you're seeking a charming bungalow from the 1920s, a waterfront condo, or a newly built home with period architecture, you'll find a variety of housing options. Many homes have breathtaking views over Lake Washington, downtown Bellevue across the water, and Mount Rainier towering in the distance.

High-Ranked Education

McGilvra Elementary School is ranked as one of the city's best schools, and maintains the old world charm seen throughout the community. With its high quality education and great reputation, the school is a highlight for families in the neighborhood.

When it comes to friendliness, inviting shops, walkability and amenities, there's no better place to be than Madison Park.
