Boost Your Sales Price with Proper Home Staging

Why do homes sell? Is it because of location? Price? Architectural style? Surely these all come into play, but more than anything else, homes sell because buyers fall in love with them. And love, generally, has little to do with location, money or architecture. People buy homes with their hearts. It’s an emotional thing.

That’s what staging is all about. Proper placement of furniture, art and accessories to make your home appear spacious, inviting and well-maintained is just part of the magic that professional home stagers employ to turn for-sale properties into the kind of must-have properties that bring in multiple offers. Done right, staging makes an emotional connection with buyers that encourages them to move from an online search to an in-person home tour and all the way to the closing table.

Staging helps increase the likelihood of selling your home. Even in tight markets where the demand for houses far exceeds the supply of for-sale properties and sellers seem to be in the driver’s seat, they still need to put their home’s best foot forward to set the stage for success.

True, staging involves time and money. More of the former if you do it yourself and more of the latter if you hire it out. But the National Association of Realtors found that staged homes sell faster and for more money than non-staged homes.
